Sepehr geophysical anticline is located in the northern part of Abadan Plain, south of Jofair oil field, east of Azadegan oil field and west of Ab-Teymour field.
Sepehr structure doesn’t have outcrops it discovered based on geophysics studies in 2012 by Exploration Management Co. starting by drilling well Sepehr 1 proceeding with drilling well Sepehr 2. The distance between well Sepehr 1 and well jofeir 3 is about 7 Km.
Oil in place is estimated 4500 M barrels and recoverable oil is about 450 M. In this field Ilam has heavy oil (API: 20) and Fahliyan has light oil (API: 43).
Pasargad Co. has given the responsibility of Jofeir oil field development as an IPC contract.
