Jofair oil field is located at 50 km south-west of Ahwaz in vicinity of Azadegan, Yadavaran and Ab-Teymour oil fields. On UGC map this field has 14 km length and 7 km width. From 1975 to 1978, four wells have been drilled in this field. Until now, four reservoirs have been explored which are Ilam, Sarvak, Gadvan and Fahliyan.
Oil in place is more than 44000 M barrels and recoverable oil is estimated about 390 M barrels. Ilam and Sarvak have heveay oil (API: 20 TO 22) BUT Gadvan and Fahliyan have light oil (API: 34 to 40). Early production phase was started with oil production rate of 2,000 barrels per day then Arvandan Oil & Gas Company Since November 2010 has managed the production of the field. Currently daily production of this field is1500 barrels witch after primary treatment transfers to west Karun operation unit.
There are two water disposal that have been completed in Asmari Formation. Produced Waste water from west Karun operation unit injects into these wells. Pasargad Co. has given the responsibility of Jofeir oil field development as an IPC contract.
